In light of the current uncertainty surrounding the outbreak of COVID-19 we wanted to update you and reassure you that we have taken all the necessary steps to ensure that we follow the guidelines of the World Health Organization and local authorities.
Your safety is our ultimate priority. We are continuing to take care of all your orders with respect for safety and hygiene regulation.
The next few weeks will be challenging including for any small business like ‘Daniel and a Sofia’. Our online shop remains open for business as usual. We will do our utmost to deliver worldwide ON TIME to your home and hope that your order will cheer you up and help you get through this challenging period.

‘Daniel and Sofia’ COVID-19 RESPONSE
On the 23rd March the Australia Government increased measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and save lives. All non-essential business have closed, however online retail is still open and postal and delivery services continue to run as normal, although we are currently unable to deliver to some countries due to courier restrictions (visit this link to find our more https://auspost.com.au/about-us/news-media/important-updates/coronavirus/coronavirus-international-updates#international )
We are currently running ‘business as usual’ on our online website, working effectively with our third-party and courier teams to ensure the safety of our clients remain our top priority.
At present, all Australia parcel operations will continue as normal. All our third-party courier depots are working as normal. Our third-party courier drivers are using non-contact options such as ‘Deliver to Neighbour’ and ‘Safe Place’ if a client does not want to sign a handheld device due to fears of transmission.
There are delivery delays in the network due to:
- reduction in air freight capacity and passenger flights (which also carry parcels)
- a significant increase in parcels volumes, many which require manual sorting
- hygiene and social distancing requirements in the network

Worldwide shipping (Standard and Express services) from our website continues as usual. Our dedicated team is closely following advice from the World Health Organization and Public Health in order to continue serving clients in the safest way possible.
At present, international orders are largely continuing as usual, however we are seeing shipping delays up to 2-6 weeks (on standard delivery service) to countries with special measures or restrictions in place. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
We are experiencing international delivery delays in all destinations due limited airline capacity and government restrictions as a result of COVID-19. Australia Post is working with partner airlines and other postal operators to move items as quickly as possible and clear backlog. Delay In Processing Returns
Please note there is a delay in processing returns due to minor delays receiving orders back via couriers. There is also a mandatory quarantine of several days on all inbound orders. We will process all returns as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
We understand the effect the current situation has had on returning orders and will be extending our returns period to 40 calendar days, so clients are able to return any unwanted pieces with original labels and packaging without delay.
